How to Hack BIOS Passwords
Sometimes you may face a huge dilema: you can not access the BIOS because you forgot the password. Or maybe you need to access the BIOS of someone else’s computer. The first thing you should be aware of is that cracking a BIOS password is not impossible.
Simple Thoughts lists several ways you can hack BIOS passwords.
- Try the default password. In certain instances there are electrical problems cause the PROM on the motherboard to reset to the Bios(CMOS) to default values. You can try: concat, AMI, Award, bios, setup, cmos.
- Use a software to read the BIOS password like CmosPwd or !BIOS.
- Reset BIOS password with Vendor Specific Solutions.If you are using a Dell Inspiron, there’s a master password that can clear the BIOS password. For the Toshiba laptops you can reset the BIOS password with the help of KeyDisk (http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe).
