This tip is useful to break the password of RAR files that you may have downloaded from torrents and through forum links from rapidshare. It could also be a case when forgot the password of a RAR file that you proctected. 

The first tool the I propose using is called RAR Pass Finder. It is a portable light tool, with extremely easy to use interface.

Rar Pass Finder isn’t different from other password finders, it uses dictionary files, to test against the unknown password. The software isn’t 100% accurate, meaning that you won’t always find the passwords. Rar Pass Finder comes only in German, but since it has only 3 buttons, it’s pretty self explanatory. Drag and drop your .rar file(s) in the program window or open them using the “Rar-Archiv” button and start the checking using the “Passwortliste” (see screenshot).Just a reminder for those dreaming, there isn’t any software that finds archive passwords, even if they use brute force or dictionary attacks. In the end, it’s all about luck but the software really helps.
